Cancellation and Payment Policy

Payment terms

  • Reservations are payable by the end of your free cancellation period.
  • You can pay at checkout OR by the end of your free cancellation period.
    > To pay later, please select "invoice" as a payment method.
    > We'll email you the payment options following the reservation confirmation.
    > The pay-later option currently includes bank transfer, Revolut, credit card (via Stripe) or PayPal.
  • The reservation will be automatically cancelled if we don't receive a payment by the end of the free cancellation period.

Free cancellation period

All direct reservations through the website are flexible.

  • Stays under 7 days: Free* cancellation up to 3 days before arrival.
  • Stays for 7 to 28 days: Free* cancellation up to 7 days before arrival.
  • Stays for 28 days or longer: Free* cancellation up to 30 days before arrival.

Refunds

  • 100% refund for payments made via bank transfer or Revolut.
    > Refunds to most UK national bank accounts should appear immediately.
    > Please allow 5-10 working days for refunds made to international bank accounts.
  • *Full refund minus transaction fee for payments made via Stripe and PayPal.
    Stripe and PayPal charge a small     transaction fee, which cannot be recovered.
    > For example, Stripe charges the following amounts:
            ○ 1.5% + 20p for standard UK cards
            ○ 2.5% + 20p for EU cards
    > Paypal charges are similar.
    You won't pay more for reservations paid over Stripe or PayPal, but we will refund the total amount minus the transaction fee in case of cancellation.
    Refunds may take 5-10 working days to appear on your account.

Length of Stay

  • The minimum length of stay is normally 2 nights. This helps us to spread the cost and keep a friendly price in the expensive Oxford. Rules may differ during low season and for last-minute reservations - please use the "check availability" bar to confirm.
  • The maximum length of stay is a month (30 nights). If you wish to stay with us for longer, please contact us.

Discounts 

In addition to occasional and seasonal discounts, we offer: 

  • 13% discount on reservations longer than 7 days.
  • 20% discount for reservations longer than 28 days.
